Pocono Animal Rescue Events Calendar 12 November 2005, Saturday Rasberry Field Sheep Herding Trials Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm Location: Rasberry Ridge Farm, off of Lake Minsi Drive, Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania. On Friday, November 11th, a "fun day" for the dogs, handlers, and owners, the ATBA is offering an opportunity for the dogs to run through the courses in a non-competitive manner but with actual sheep and livestock handling. The fun trials are open to all breeds of dogs and will involve all courses and all levels of sheep herding. Judges will provide feedback and, most important, the handlers will get a feel for the course and the sheep herding procedures. If anyone wants to include their dog in the sheep herding trials, call Rasberry Ridge Farm at 610-588-5262. The American Kennel Club (AKC) is sponsoring the official trials on Saturday and Sunday, November 12th and 13th. The events each day will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free to the general public. To get to Rasberry Ridge Farm, take Route 80 East to the Delaware Water Gap exit and proceed straight to the "T" sign in town. Turn left onto Route 611 South to Mount Bethel. Pass through Mt. Bethel and turn right onto PA Route 512 (bank and chiropractic office on corner). Go exactly 1.5 miles. Turn right at Lillian Lane. Cross the railroad tracks. Bear left up the hill. Immediately after you go through a 4 way stop sign intersection, the road forks. Take the right fork - Lake Minsi Drive. Go 0.6 miles and turn left onto gravel lane at mail box #2167.
